Okay for a short dog walk, or feed the ducks, but beware of irresponsible dog owners who don't clean up behind their pets. Very annoying as there are two poo bins

Tiny, just a muddy track, no where to sit down

A necessary haven of nature. All humans should visit here and unplug from the world

A favourite dog walk of mine, peaceful, relaxing and real joy when the sun is shining.

Sweet place for a quick walk. Lost of ducks on the pond usually.
Only low rating as it's a smaller place and to wear down a larger dog takes quite a few laps. Sometimes, it can have trash, which is a shame (we pick up anything we find). The water can be quite deep and covered, so be careful as swimming/dogs in water isnt allowed.
For me, it wasn't walkable from home, so we parked in the neighborhood right next to it. If you feel like you're walking into someone's driveway, you've found the main entrance.
Playground: N/a
Restrooms: None.
Dog-friendliness: Keep on lead. Dog waste receptacles.

A little hidden gem of an area, sometimes it's nice not to have to walk miles, and you just want to sit and watch nature.

It was a nice change to walk round here. Just a shame it hasn't been maintained and kept tidy over lockdown. Lots of rubbish and lack of drainage.

Very small but a lovely place to take the dog for a quick walk and to see the ducks in the pond.

There is a very small pond to walk around and that is literally it. We were very disappointed, as was our dog who had a longer walk back to the car then around the nature reserve. Might be better in the summer with a picnic? Especially if you live within walking distance.. Definitely not for dog walkers

Amazing. I have lived in downham for over 2 years now and had never known this place existed until a friend took to there and it is one of the most beautiful places. It is small and cosy so a cute place for a picnic or to take the kids. It is quiet and calm and really feels like nature.
